  Watched this on Netflix so I can skip the disturbing scenes. Honestly, the ‘crazy singing’ scene is not touching & the ‘rape’ scene is exploitatively long & too frequent. When the rapist dibunuh malah gw disuru dengerin suara barongsai sambil nonton pintu 🤷🏻‍♀️

  Kalo film ini didedikasikan untuk korban pemerkosaan, maka harusnya dikasi moments where the womans are unheard of—di diskusi dengan ketua adat, dengan polisi, pas datuk2 ga jelas main ke rumah.. ini malah seurit & simbolik korban cuma ketakutan sama datuk2…

  The power of a moving picture is real. How every frame is a painting, each fabric are carefuly crafted, each movements are calculated, wether it’s in front, mid or at the back. Colours, composition. Gosh! This is proof that story doesn’t have to be the main character, and visual poetry like this can go straight to your heart without needing a single word or even dialogue.

  Despite the fact orang gagu, titit, tai kucing & pipis is not my kind of comedy.. still I wished they could do better on crafting a comedy scenes.

  Comedy itu kan soal timing, di film ini ada banyak lines yang jadi ga lucu karena karena editingnya off. Aku juga kurang paham kenapa di script banyak jokesnya harus di explain lagi why is it funny-nya. Ga perlu tau.. jd ga lucu.

  Besar apresiasi saya terhadap topik yang dibicarakan oleh film ini. Begitu noble & kompleks tapi penting. Sejauh penangkapan & penerimaan saya PRIBADI film ini; 

  Adalah untuk menjembrengkan tree of life dalam format realita. Konsep filosofis yang seringkali terasa oversimplified & di awang2 karena penjelasannya nggak pernah menapak pada realita. Padahal bentuk nyata konsep ini dalam kehidupan sehari-hari sungguh penuh dengan kerumitan.

  Garin menggambarkan kerumitan tree of life ini dalam berbagai bentuk kecacatan peran dan kegagalan…
