The first hour of this had me thinking it was the dreamy sapphic australian film of my dreams.
I’m not sure how to summarize how I felt about this movie two weeks later. It’s so very David Lynch and more narrative driven than much of his work, which I do appreciate. The second hour lagged a bit but it found its way and was happy things came back together into a cohesive ending. Visually stunning, of course. Such young Kyle Maclachlan it’s hard not to smile seeing him.

Saw this at the AMC12 the night it closed in the UD. Really amazing cinematography and costume design. The entire feel of existential dread oozing out of every pore in this film is super palpable and effective. My opinion is the first hour could have been a bit shortened but it didn’t feel like it dragged too badly, in fact looking back maybe it was nice to spend more time in that world.
