Run Lola Run 1998
Run Lola Run is a nonstop burst of energy, blending rapid-fire storytelling with a clever time-loop structure. The film plays out in three different scenarios, highlighting how small choices can drastically alter fate.
Franka Potente is outstanding as Lola, thrown into a race against time where every second counts. The pulsating techno soundtrack fuels the urgency, making it feel like you’re right there with her. Visually, the film is packed with stylish edits, inventive camera work, and even animated sequences.…

The Ghost 2004
The Ghost fits right into the wave of eerie, slow-burning Korean horror films that thrived in the early 2000s. Demon City 2025
I actually enjoyed Demon City much more than I expected. I’ve never seen the anime it’s based on, so I have no basis for comparison. Overall, Demon City is a 7.5/10 for me.

The film thrives on its two leads, Lola Dueñas (The Sea Inside, Volver) and Laurent Lucas (Raw, In My Skin, Calvaire), and the toxic, obsessive relationship they bring to life. Watching their dynamic unravel is both enthralling and…
