Please strip away your idea of what a movie “should feel like” and just go watch it
Near the beginning they presented one of the best drone shots I’ve ever seen in any movie, only to never utilize a drone ever again. That pretty much sums up this movie: frustrating, lazy, timid, unsure of itself.
Ultimately a film about adults who should and seem to act like adults but still feel like children deep down. They navigate the claustrophobic, alien (to western audiences), but at times serene landscapes and cities of India as we would the world we grew up in.
Their bickering between each other is no different than how siblings would bicker between one another, with the only real difference being adult matters such as divorce, pregnancy, car crashes, or heartbreak.
