At first, I saw this film on a plane years back. It wasn't the best environment to watch a film, I will say. At that point, I could focus on the unnerving tone it sets up, but not much else.

Now that I've seen it again at home and can reflect upon what wasn't clear in my memory? This is a perfect film, genuinely. The fact that you can only see through the protagonist's perspective means you only know as…

A film with no chill at all. I have to give it respect for that. There's so much funny and shocking stuff going on, like the dude who gets shot in the butt by accident, before taking a kid's weed with the implication that he'd smoke it himself. That's the kind of lack of chill this film has. Also beats out Taming of the Shrew by having more sympathetic characters and making even the man need to improve himself as…

This was emotional to watch, though while most would say it was because the content was sad in Rocket's backstory, and well, yes, it is, but it also is because of personal reasons. The Guardians movies were the MCU films I would rewatch the most of all of them, and in a way, they were the ones that "mattered" to me. So to see this as the conclusion is an interesting feeling.

But in other words, unlike Wakanda Forever, I didn't even notice how long it was until it ended.

It's long, yes, but within that length is an atmosphere unlike any other film I've seen. Tuco is a fascinating character, somehow, in spite of how nasty he is. Any film that can make a character act so cruel, and still make you feel bad for him once he suffers brutally is impressive. Angel Eyes may be one of the greatest villains in film, every time he's onscreen is a shock because you know he will do something horrible.

The soundtrack is excellent. The song playing in the search near the end is epic, and the atmospheric and sad tracks made me feel.
