as crushing as it is warm

as much as i found the condensed energy of the stylization in the first half completely captivating, it completely emotionally ensnared me in the second, when that stylization is not discarded but almost filtered through Joe’s emotional train of consciousness and used more pointedly.

there’s nothing wrong with un-pointed or less pointed stylization, but when it comes to making me feel things, it is less effective. this movie is incredible, so it gave me both .

The best movie ever made, the best theater experience I’ve ever had. SIFF Uptown, sold out crowd, awesome people there.

A life highlight and I’m not even exaggerating.

When I got in my car I had to drive back past the theater to get home and I decided to blast La Haine by Cut Killer cause I thought it would be cool. I hope people heard it and thought it was cool too.
