Star Wars: The Force Awakens 2015
Though The Force Awakens does verge into near-remake territory it does so incredibly well with terrific direction, editing and pacing from a JJ Abrams that is at the top of his game.
Introducing great new characters brought to life wonderfully by their actors, the force awakens gives a movie that is both very familiar and often brand new. Everybody behind and in front of the camera is at the top of their game making an incredibly satisfying and enjoyable movie that sets the stage well for an even better sequel.
