The day after watching the first FEAR STREET movie with my niece, a burgeoning horror movie fan, on a recent visit to the east coast, she also wanted to show me the 2nd one. Like the first movie, I can see why this kind of teen horror movie seems to click with a younger audience, but unlike the first movie, this one doesn’t always deliver the goods.

Watching this alongside UNBREAKABLE and SPLIT was fascinating...what a strange, yet ultimately satisfying trilogy. I like this more than most critics...there's a lot going on thematically and visually that's too weird/interesting to dismiss. But the low budget still keeps it from reaching its full potential (even though Night seems to owe his recent comeback to finding creativity within budget constraints).
