    This movie was a failure from its conception. The character of Snake Eyes has a back story that this movie completely ignores. Sure, the original back story is farfetched, but nothing here is any more believable. But what's worse is this story is generic and boring.     I liked this, but mainly because Moana is such a likable, energetic lead character. It's hard not to enjoy any scene she's in. The main adventure is interesting enough and appropriately steeped in Ocean lore. However, reviewing this a day later, I'm struggling to think of any scenes as memorable as the crab sequence in the first film. And there's definitely no scenes with the emotional impact of Te Fiti getting the Heart of the Island back.
