A great end to a great trilogy. Not quite as strong as “Dawn”, but the character development still held very well. Some scenes felt like a Red Dead Redemption story arc, which was a lot of fun, and I liked seeing the apes work together again. Again, Andy Serkis as Caesar stole the show. The antagonist wasn’t quite as compelling as Koba in “Dawn”, but still very interesting.

Again, I don’t remember the last time I’ve seen such realistic looking CGI. Watching the orangutan in the forest got me forgetting it wasn’t real. Andy Serkis steals the show again. Love the depth in each protagonist and antagonist. And, of course, love seeing Gary Oldman.

This is probably one of the most entertaining, awesome movies I’ve seen in a long time. It has everything you could want in a movie: action, comedy, romance, bromance, animals of all kinds, dance numbers, hype music, motorcycles, horses, heroes, villains, epic mustaches, and more! I’ve watched it twice already, and still feel the same.

Wes Anderson never ceases to delightfully entertain me. I always love his unique camera work, popping colors, dry humor, and creative storytelling. Asteroid City is no different this time around generally, but I love how this film explores not only space and extra-terrestrial life, but it explores the depth of humanity through having the film characters being played by theatre actors on the set of a play. A wonderful film, well worth the watch.
