  I liked this. I think the humor was great but could have used some of that more in the beginning. Sophie Thatcher (former Columbia Chicago alumni like myself) was great! Really liked her. Ending could have perhaps used some more nuance but I vibed with it.

  I too would do anything for Cate Blanchett. A sexy spy movie set amidst Steven Soderbergh's favorite thing in the world, a heist. And boy does it fucking work. Everyone is sexy, everyone is turned on, and Steven Soderbergh knows it.

  Sleek, efficient, and also gives itself its moments to breathe while having fun at the same time. It doesn't get lost in itself but revels in what spies do best, manipulate. And why not put that manipulation to an…

  Just delightfully silly. But fun action supplemented by an obsession with The Crystal Method and solid performances by Jet Li and Aaliyah in one of her few actual on screen roles. Also it's not a movie with DMX without at least three DMX tracks in the movie. I had fun.

  Top Gun: Maverick captures the spirit of the original, and runs with it. It's the most fun I've had in theaters since MI: Fallout. It's emotional, it's uplifting, and it's the least cynical movie I've seen in ages. I wasn't expecting to get emotional several minutes into the movie but Kosinski directed the hell out of this.
