Ballet 422 2014
This is a beautifully shot and very quiet film that I think very accurately portrays the constant, steady, hard work behind the scenes of a major ballet company. I really enjoyed the small moments of personality the director allowed to shine through; hinting at existing relationships and the strain the looming premiere was bringing to them without derailing the narrative into interpersonal drama.
I was riveted, but I'm not sure how well it would hold the attention of someone without an existing interest in ballet or theater. Extra half star for Olga's cameo.
