Undoubtedly creative and groundbreaking for the time, but didn't grab me as much as I hoped. Hard to find a bad review of this so I expected to be blown away, and whilst I liked it, it just didn't reach the heights I know it to be held at by the cinephile community.

Certainly still worth a watch, but if you sell this to your Dad as a "highly revered Korean revenge film" he's probably going to expect a bit more John Wick than all the twisted stuff in this. Gav's review below:

Bloody phenomenal. Any movie like this completely rests on the quality of the music, and it delivers in spades in that respect. In an over saturated world of musical biopics, "Kneecap" stands apart as an entry. It is so much more interesting to tell a great story with unknown (but great) music, than to tell a boring story with great and known music (even if it's Elton's great music).

Late to the party here but just happy I came. The 4:3 aspect ratio is so dope, somehow makes every shot feel unique and interesting.

Great job from the whole cast, Keoghan could be a generational talent.

And Jacob mate, feels like just yesterday I’d come by your house and pick you up. We’d go out, have a few drinks, a few laughs, and it was great. But you know what the best part of my day was? It was…

Watched this on a plane with my boy and got both phones going at exactly the same time. Paused for each others toilet breaks and everything. Took this movie up a whole extra star.
