  Always been a big Giamatti guy. Not his magnum opus as nothing will touch Big Fat Liar (2002) but a great heartwarming Sunday watch. 

  1970’s WASP aesthetic was well executed and slapped without the film being pretentious.

  The CGI in this movie is so bad that questions seriously have to be asked as to whether it was intentional. 

  Wasn’t expecting anything from the plot and put this movie on as a bit of a joke. I played a stupid game and won a stupid prize. 

  Statham the only redeeming quality.

  I think this might be my first period biopic? Thoroughly enjoyed the costumes and set design in the movie and thought the battle scenes were well done. 

  To be honest I didn’t get a lot of character development from Napoleon but thought the acting was good, could be a script issue. 

  Also, Joaquin Phoenix reprising his role as an egotistical emperor? Pretty crazy niche to be typecast to.
