Terribly beautiful
This reminds me of Walkabout.
Slow paced with glorious cinematography lingering on a harsh but beautiful landscape, whilst telling its story through images more than words.
An incredibly annoying movie.
The frequent timeline jumps are absurdly pointless. It doesn’t give time to learn about and understand the characters. At every change of scene, I’m wondering when and where we are now and why we just left where we were.
It’s the movie equivalent of reading the first page of a book, then page 200, page 2, 201 etc.
The sisters are growing up in genteel poverty during the Civil War but spend much of their time…
Awesome debut by a pair of very talented Writer - Directors; the next Coen brothers?
