Death to Videodrome. Long live the new flesh.
Replace "video" with "social media" or "the internet" in most of this movie, and its message becomes even more horrifyingly prescient. How a "frequency" or a thought we consume can grow like a tumor.
Cronenberg creates such a tense atmosphere in this movie. I'm a huge sucker for 80s practical effects, and the body horror in here is ridiculously cool. Still looks fantastic today too.
