  I really didn’t think I was going to cry. 10 minutes to go I thought what could possible still happen that would make me cry. Cut to credits and I’m sobbing so violently I’m bordering on hyperventilating and my roommate is calling me asking if I’m okay. 

  Some things I loved:

  • The still shots. So beautiful and such nostalgic captures of little details that stick out in ones memory.

  The world design reminded me so much if spy kids.

  On a more serious note I thought it was beautiful film and a powerful satirical take on women’s position in society and their social conditioning, BUT my one critique is that this is done entirely through the lense of women’s sexual and romantic relations to men which I think is limiting and a bit disappointing.

Following
