After watching all the westerns in Arrows Vengeance Trails box set, without a doubt this is the gem of the four films. The atmosphere created is really unlike any other western I’ve seen from the period and as intended, the director Antonio Margheriti shoots in a gothic horror style which is just so unique. Klaus Kinski is fantastic in the film as the stoic Gary Hamilton - he really has one of the best faces in all of cinema -…

Batman Returns 1992
The fact they put those little rocket packs on actual penguins is astounding. Also I appreciate this film so much more now than when I saw it as a kid back in the 90s. It’s everything you want from a Batman movie and a Tim Burton movie, and exceeds Batman 89 in both those regards.

Looking for Mr. Goodbar 1977
Diane Keaton is incredibly captivating as the main character, Theresa, in this tragic film. She really is fantastic in this as she explores her new found freedom weaving between her day job as a school teacher and her nighttime trysts. The Electric State 2025
2 stars for the CGI and most of the wide shots which included some cool imagery. Clearly that’s where the 300M went because most everything else was pretty laughable from Pratt’s hair to the incoherent plot where they had to shoehorn in some sort of conspiracy with MBB’s brother and Stanley Tucci as the big bad. The ending speech was just the icing on the cake. None of the emotional payoffs worked because they were not earned. Just a silly movie all around.

Nickel Boys 2024
Phenomenal and brilliantly shot from a 1st person perspective which immerses you entirely into the story. Every moment is felt. Just an outstanding film.
