The controversy surrounding this film is put into perspective when you realise it’s just a straight up terrible movie. This film takes one of the most abhorrent crimes on the planet and weaponises it as blatant propaganda.
Its worth mentioning Tim Ballard (whose story this film attempts to tell) was removed from his position at his anti-human trafficking organisation due to sexual misconduct and grooming behaviour towards staff.
Definitely one of the more interesting films from last year.
So much packed into one film its difficult to really describe. I felt as though the first half was far better than the last, with the reveal at the end feeling a tad cliche and unrealistic.
