Giving this four because I feel like I keep giving movies 3.5 as a cop out.
Would never have expected to be so riveted by a papal pulp. Visual eye candy and the ending is just so perfect. Catholicism ain't so bad after all.
Also what is with John Lithgow being such a bad guy all the time. Can't stop thinking about Cliffhanger.
A masterpiece. Gints MUST have played Ico because this is that game incarnate, right down to the the sunny washed PS2 graphics. The emotional journey it takes you on without a drop of dialogue had me at times near tears.
Might actually be my favorite movie of this year or even last. Looking forward to watching it again.
Watched three times in a row (for the 24 hours of Eno event) so it's safe to say that I've "seen" it.
The technical achievement of this movie is also a hint at why it is just so-so as a documentary - it's more a collaborative auto-documentary by the subject himself than anything comprehensive which is to say, it left me wanting more.
