Such an uncomfortable film to watch, yet so captivating. The movie is simple, yet speaks volumes. I wouldn’t say I enjoyed watching this film, but it kept me locked-in. I think many of the scenes were thoroughly thought out in terms of what to show and what not to show, and I think those decisions made the film that much more powerful, specifically referring to the events in the hotel room. I also like how after such a horrific event we too are dropped into a trivial birthday dinner conversation and then right back into the throws of caring for her roommate. Beautifully painful.
