Probably Burton's best film. I love that Ed Wood's relentless optimism creates a community of oddball supporters and I find this movie to be so empathetic and kind in its messaging. Everyone deserves to be loved and celebrated for who they are and independent film shouldn't be so goddamn difficult to finance.

A perfect film and one I can rewatch endlessly. Salieri's exposition really did introduce me to a greater appreciation of Mozart's work, particularly Nozze de Figaro.

What if "bitches be crazy" was a movie?

If I wanted to watch violent misogyny shot in 35mm, wouldn't I just put on a film from the 70s instead of a modern movie so overwhelmingly beholden to them?

In case there were any doubts about what this movie is signalling, the two biggest laugh lines in my mostly-male audience last night were "you fucking cunt" and "you dumb bitch." Terrible vibes from a movie convinced of its own cleverness.

This bummed me out: a fun premise and a great Pattinson performance wasted on an incredibly bloated film with too many ideas, many of them half-baked. I wish any of the movie could have been allowed to breathe but instead we raced through tons of plot and made almost all of it cartoonish in impact. I wasn't expecting a great film but I'm sorry this wasn't a good one
