Ok. There’s an emotional core of two scenes in this movie that is deeply deeply affecting. There’s also a tonne of grot. I’m glad this gross, pointed, very French body horror movie starring the one and only Demi hit the zeitgeist the way it did, because it proves that movies like it still can. I also found watching the second act really, really hard going, and not just because of the grot.
I’m glad it exists and I will never watch it again. Demi rocked though.
