This sequel manages to deliver a serviceable follow-up to a classic, even though it can’t fully escape the original’s shadow. Unfortunately, Mescal’s lack of onscreen charisma makes it hard to believe he could rally anyone to his cause.

Ex Machina 2015
A trio of good performances really elevated this smartly written movie to the next level. I have a lot of questions after watching it, like who is really the main protagonist? I think you could argue any of the three main leads, and that's what makes this movie great. This will be a fun one to re-watch multiple times.
