Late Night With The Devil was worth the wait, that was superb. Such a unique horror and I loved the concept, it doesn't go too gung ho and you're still captivated throughout and when the horror kicks in it sure does pay off. Homage to The Exorcist at times. Spike Jonze follows up the brilliant Being John Malkovich and Adaptation with a romantic drama like no other Joauqin Phoenix is a lonely writer who falls in love with his computer voiced by Scarlett Johansson. Phoenix delivers a good performance and the relationship between him and his computer really is believable and pulls at your heartstrings. What in the hell have I just watched? You will not watch a more surreal movie all year, and its Ari Aster's most bizarre yet, which is saying something. His first two movies I felt were influenced by Kubrick and Hitchcock, this one definitely David Lynch weird style vibes I thought someone spiked my tea.
