Good fun, most notable for its existence as a 2D animated feature that somehow got a theatrical release. Almost entirely untouched by modern sensibilities which makes it feel like a lost artifact from another time, in the best way.

Cleaner 2025
My life can most easily be divided into two periods- the first five years, and everything after I saw a VHS copy of Martin Campbell's Goldeneye. It was one of those movies that I saw and just never stopped thinking about. I felt like Nicole Kidman in the AMC movie theater ad. Unfortunately, Campbell's Cleaner ain't one of those movies.

The Batman 2022
The Batman does a lot right. The visuals were fantastic. Lots of eye-catching imagery and set design. Gotham looks appropriately grimy and larger than life. There’s a real “east coast” feel that gave the setting some texture. Giacchino’s score is suitably rousing. There’s even some fine tuned sequences (the funeral and Batmobile chase) that land perfectly.
Honestly though, The Batman sticks out to me for the ways it’s lacking.
