  Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl 2024

  Its just so nice to have a new Wallace and Gromit out, and for the most part it lives up to what you'd hope and expect out of it. Genuinely funny parts, corny funny parts, great claymation animation, particularly the way we really feel so strongly Gromits unspoken emotions with just eyebrows and ears to emote with. The Gnome tech feels a little too modern and also slightly a few years too late somehow. The mitchells Vs the Machines did…

  So recently my partner and I moved to Ladysmith, BC from Vancouver and when we did we promised each other that we wouldn't be one of those millenial couples posting "I did a thing" type posts with pictures of us in front of our new house. But I can't talk about Harvey without mentioning it, so this is my just-moved announcement hidden inside a review on Letterboxd to my 8 or so followers.

  Picture Perfect: The Making of Sleeping Beauty 2008

  Sleeping Beauty is one of the best animated and best illustrated of all the Disney films- and it was one I was sadly resistant to watching as a kid because of being averse to princess type movies- and sleeping beauty seemed like the princessiest one of them all.   Charade 1963

  ★★★★★ Rewatched 09 Feb 2024

  Watched with hilarious commentary by the Stanley Donan and Peter Stone. Really witty banter back and forth by real friends who just love to bust each others balls a bit.

  'audrey hepburn was actually quite tall'
  'no she wasn't, she wasn't too tall for fred astaire and he was a small man'
  'she was at least 5'8"'
  'yeah maybe standing on her money"

  Such a charming commentary track. I love listening to old men reminisce about a clearly fun time in their lives. This might be my favourite commentary I've listened to so far.
