A Tale of Winter 1992
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Was delighted to slowly realize this was building to a "will he show up??" ending. Special the way it makes you slowly start to believe. Really loved the later transitional shots that suggest Luic and Felicie driving, but do not show either of them- only the pov of the driver- and these seem to double as a suggestion of an unseen character approaching, namely, Charles. Extremely cool stuff.

One of the most appealing aspects of A Christmas Carol is its brevity:

Poor Things 2023
Not exactly predictable, but you know the beats. It’s just so lovely to see them done as “Frankenstein by way of a Smashing Pumpkins video, with a huge budget.” Parable of Life movies require a certain boldness, I think, and a distinct outlook. This has all that and it’s super beautiful and funny.
