I feel so insanely conflicted about this film. On one hand the film as a piece of art is enthralling and traumatic at the same time. Ana’s portrayal of Monroe is hauntingly beautiful. She’s absolutely incredible at eluding Monroe’s magnetic allure and childlike longing to be loved.
On the other hand, blurring the lines between fact and fiction feels like yet another betrayal to Monroe, compounding this fictitious image of her that the universe has and is obsessed with.
