    Great performances, airtight atmosphere. I really appreciate how eggers does dialogue - it’s period but not impenetrable to a modern audience. 

    Can drag/feel redundant at times (many a scene emphasizing just how super duper evil  orlok is) and I feel like the final sacrifice would’ve been more heartbreaking had we spent more time appreciating how dear Ellen’s life is to her but it’s still all very effective.
