  The fish are beautiful but not so beautiful they can’t be eaten eh? 

  Proof that dogs are overrated.  

  Love the fact that all animals have boats unexplained. 

  Something about this was giving invisible cities. “There is a city where the water touches the sky and golden davits lower creatures to kiss their shimmering reflection” aaah movie.

  I’d personally choose the couple from Sanctuary as my preferred manipulative couple but these guys were cool too.

  Great performances, airtight atmosphere. I really appreciate how eggers does dialogue - it’s period but not impenetrable to a modern audience. 

  Can drag/feel redundant at times (many a scene emphasizing just how super duper evil  orlok is) and I feel like the final sacrifice would’ve been more heartbreaking had we spent more time appreciating how dear Ellen’s life is to her but it’s still all very effective.
