  True to its 90s predecessor, a fun, well-paced formulaic summer action flick. The visuals are maybe not as cutting edge as the original was back in the 90s, but Glen Powell adds a lot of charm. It's guaranteed to be a decent fun time, but nothing to write home about.

  Powerfully eerie and unsettling surreal horror entry. Amazing camerawork and performance by Nic Cage. Works best if you don't expect an intricate mystery plot, but rather an immersive (and even a bit artsy) horror experience.

  Doesn't quite work as a stand-alone film but it's nice companion piece to the original, which is why I think works best when it deviates from its source material. Best part is that the songs are all filmed like music videos from the 90s and 2000s which is a great vibe. Don't think the cast surpasses the original with exception of Renee Rapp as Regina George

  Interesting but uneven watch. Enjoyed how original it felt and the homage to auteurs like David Lynch. Some powerful moments scattered across but I felt it was a bit unclear what I was supposed to take away from the film and I thought the final act fell flat.
