A masterpiece of a film. The one film that has always stuck with me since I first saw it in high school. Dead Poets Society is more than a film about poetry. Rather it’s about the freeing of oneself, daring to dream, and chasing after the things that bring meaning to your life. In other words, seize the day. The greatest achievement ever for mankind. Incredibly fascinating and strangely calming. For All Mankind creates a linear story using footage from Apollo 7 through Apollo 17, showcasing a “home-video” type style of the crew in the ship flying through space. The performances from Jared Gilman and Kara Hayward were beyond stellar,…

The complexities and underlying realism of this film is utterly brilliant. This was way more than just a comedy and it wasn’t until the halfway point where you begin to realize there’s a lot of truth to what’s going on. Waititi’s blend of satire and realism really brought to light a ton of realistic moments that occurred in Nazi Germany. Yorki was awesome, freakin love that kid. Also, super impressive that Taika Waititi played a huge role in this, and…
