    Rashomon

Kurosawa’s ability to navigate human behavior is unmatched, and he was doing this in 1950. The intricacies of each account are fascinating, as Kurosawa connects similar themes across each character from the very beginning to final shot of Rashomon.

Loved the usage of the court throughout the tellings of the physical conflict, it created an entirely different and engaging environment to the film. The cinematography and framing was executed very well, the film looked incredible. The frequent usage of the…

    Mickey 17

    ★★★

An unserious mess that has several good moments, Mickey 17 is, at the very least, another original work from Bong Joon-Ho. Perhaps I’m biased because Robert Pattinson (the Batman) carried most of the movie, with some help from Toni Collette. I’ll always tune in to see Pattinson on the big screen.

Mickey 17 is plagued with constant expositions which disrupt the pacing of the film. Also, Mark Ruffalo whatever that was please don’t do it again.

It sucks that Mickey 17 was postponed so many times and bombed at the box office.

Magazine Dreams is centered around the desire for immortality, to leave an undismissable legacy for future generations. It’s a powerful inner conflict that is channeled into the efforts to be an IFBB champion.

The reviews raving about Jonathan Majors’ performance are well deserved. He commands every moment of screen time, portraying complex feelings and thought processes Killian experiences.

Along with Majors’ performance, the sound and visual editing are phenomenal. Instances where both are utilized to build off another make for…

There’s no possible way on planet earth this movie beat Luca for best animated movie at the Oscar’s. If encanto was a tangible object I would smash it into a billion pieces. I’ve never been so angry at a movie being snubbed than I am right now writing this.
