  It was rubbish haha, finding it funny reading everyone’s reviews as this was such an awful film.

  I couldn’t hold it in at the overused and underwhelming long pauses to cause ‘tension’. 

  Don’t think I can ever take Nicolas cage seriously, wipe your face and stop being so dramatic.

  Beautifully shot and so incredibly stylistic.
  I watch it with a friend who said he didn’t like how every shot was ‘experimental’ almost ‘perfectly’ too much. However I completely disagree I loved how every shot was a photograph and you was completely in it and immersed the whole time. 

  The lighting and grade too fucking hell ! 
  I also want to be mates with all of the characters.

  Will re watch this and re write review after watching Chungking express as I was unaware you was meant to watch first.

  Storyline kept me interested and Oliver had a great character arc, but hated the ending of explaining everything - like leaving nothing to the imagination? And then explaining everything but leaving out the part of how he made her terminally ill. So either Fennell thought she needed to spoon feed us with an explanation, but couldn’t herself come up with one for the mum so thought she’d leave that out, or she genuinely believed no one would understand the plot…
