Unclear whether it's cool or not to like this movie?? I'm left to form my own opinion which is scary. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that this film honestly deserves its accolades. It's beautifully and expertly paced; you truly feel like you're experiencing Ani's shifting world minute to minute. And I love her, I want to experience her world minute to minute. I haven't loved a female character so fiercely in a long time. I want…

Fellini's camerawork still rivals modern movies, and this film stays sophisticated beyond its years even in an era of better technology. A stunning fever dream... a circus of interesting women and paralyzing self-doubt and artistic crisis, and yet it's so deliberate and well-composed. I love trying to keep up with the witty, philosophical dialogue. I rewatched this movie because it was one of David Lynch's favorites. "Happiness consists of being able to tell the truth without hurting anyone."

Nicole Kidman is just too famous to be in movies now. She has hit a fame ceiling of some kind?? Babygirl is definitely a movie that was better as a trailer (or maybe a music video). so unbelievably hot, veiny, and GAY. A road movie, a neo-noir thriller, a pulsing, pulpy romp for the senses!! I can't believe how good the contrast is between puke and egg yolks and clogged toilets and gym sweat and needles and also steamy chemistry and surrealist hallucinations and sophisticated storytelling. Lynchian, lesbian, synthy, oily, devastating, delicious, disgusting, unhinged, Mulholland Drive with 'roid rage, Chris Benoit energy. I can smell this movie. Incredibly underrated.
