“I don’t want it to go away”
Feels like an ideal/timeless movie of a kids show cartoon: the zaniness and the setpieces have a little more kick while the characters also feel a little more grounded to keep the train rolling over the extended runtime. Looney Tunes are fuckin’ great, this was a treat.
Also, very clever to put Looney Tunes in a mismash of 50s sci-fi, lets them keep their flavor without trying to modernize them too much (not against it, just has very mixed results!)
I know old Cartoon Network would have run this shit back 3 times a week.
Playing a girl with Cookie Monster Pajama Pants energy is a viable path to Best Actress, I love this country sometimes.
People (me included) have crowed over Ani betting on Vanya as long as she does, but I think the Vegas wedding scene is so euphoric it’s like nah, I would fight tooth and nail for this feeling again, too.
