  Eighth Grade naturally explores every aspect of being a middle school girl. Cruel girls, immature boys, and the hope that if you can get through it, things may someday be better.

  The car scene hit me personally, as I’m sure it will many women. Sexual pressures are put on girl’s shoulders long before they should ever have to bear them. These experiences stick with us throughout our entire lives, and I am thankful that is part of the conversation. This film is thoughtfully and beautifully made.
