Saw it at the Music Box.

Thought Pattinson was great. Ruffalo and Toni Collette were also great in their supporting roles. Felt like it was trying to do too many things at once. It felt like it was missing the insightfulness and cutting social commentary of a typical Bing movie.

FANTASTIC stunt work. Jackie Chan is the master at it.

Saw this in 35mm at the Music Box Theater with a Q&A with Rian Johnson after. As an aside, he seems like a very charming, nice guy and a true cinephile. Cool experience.

Loved the movie. Shot in a 70s film noir style, it was unique, extremely well written and deeply funny, but also had a lot of heart. I cannot believe it was made for only $415k - it looked great. Like the early works of many great directors, you can see the seeds of all future Rian Johnson projects, but at the same time it was a great standalone experience.

    ***SPOILERS AHEAD

That being said, the emotional beats just don't quite hit, and I'm left with the sense that the MCU did Black Widow dirty. I was hoping for more background on her transformation into the Black Widow and subsequent defection to Shield, but in the end all we got was an extended flashback to her…
