2007 was truly a landmark year for films in my lifetime and I’m so glad Michael Clayton seems to be going through a recent and very well-deserved rediscovery. This is my favorite Tony Gilroy screenplay; George Clooney and Tilda Swinton are perfect in showcasing its intelligence and emotion in such a subtle, yet powerful and realistic way.

Fincher and his frequent collaborators’ take on genre is very welcome, especially since this has been a passion project for years now. The fight scene is spectacular by the way- one of my favorite sequences of 2023.

Loved it! One of my favorites of 2022 so far.
Ti West's reverence for 70's horror and genre film permeates so heavily in this that it's nearly tangible. As in West's other films, his stylish, ambitious editing here is impeccable and his strong direction and patience delivers a large amount of well-crafted suspense sequences and shocking moments with high payoffs. It's groovy, for sure.

Wow, loved this and my favorite of 2019 so far.
What a cathartic experience to enjoy a wide release film like this that focuses on storytelling, performance, and craft over franchising and profit. In many ways I think this is the pinnacle film that Tarantino's entire career has led up to and that he was destined to make; even if this is truly his penultimate film. As with all of QT's films, this isn't something you watch but rather "feel"…
