  Sam Shepard is a fantastic playwright/writer in general. Now add an incredibly simple but powerful story with some of the best color used in cinema history. Like, ever. Okay, now put a camera in the desert. Oh wait, throw some amazing acting into the mix too. Great child actors are hard to find. Right? No fretting, here’s an incredibly talented one. Symbolism? Sure, why not throw it in. Actually, throw it in all over. If only Sam Shepard was a fan of epic monolog…. wait….
