I don’t believe much in the possibility of good cops improving things from the inside-out but they make for pretty good fables.

Unreal cast here. Jeff Goldblum is outstanding and so is Fishburne. I like this approach of the ‘90s (reminds me of The Fisher King) where you just get a couple dynamos and let ‘em cook.

    Hits on some big issues.

It’s no “The Spook Who Sat by the Door.”

That’s a fun little ditty. Very stylish and original. Excellent cast. The girl from Industry is in here as basically the same character and it works. Nice setup.
Are good-to-solid intelligence agency movies a recession and/or fascism indicator? Who’s to say.

But it’s a clever and fun concept. Like a better and not cringe Knives Out/Glass Onion. Somewhere a good bit above those but below Burn After Reading.

If I could give it a 3.75 or even a 3.8, I would. This is harsh but I gotta tighten up my ratings. That’s so dumb.

    Anyway.

This is the movie you make after you win Best Picture for Parasite and then get a lot of backing for your next film and said backing requires a little more…widespread appeal.

There’s a lot of good stuff. Pattinson is pretty fun.

There’s just a lot going on here. Maybe I missed some…

They don't make them like this anymore. It's low stakes, but just so good—so funny. Just a smidge of social commentary without any weight to it whatsoever. Great cast. Awesome Christmas movie.
