Gorgeous movie. Emotional movie. The ambiguity of it might turn away some but it’s an excellent choice. Would be a lesser film if they went the talking-animal route. Oscars were two days ago and I gotta say, well earned!
Genuinely incredible. Never out of ideas, insanely funny and inventive. I gotta watch this with everyone I know!
Gotta give mad props to Rian Johnson on this one, a more classic whodunit than the first film but even more fun. Every time I was sure I had solved the case on my own, a new twist had me guessing again. And yet it avoids falling into the trap of withholding from the audience, every clue being placed right in front of the viewer if only they knew where to look.
Also incredible respect to DP Steve Yedlin, this is a gorgeous movie with clever camera movement. A master cinematographer at work, as he’s demonstrated time and again.
