  The spooks and scares are good. Some genuinely awesome imagery and dread happening. Had a lot of fun yelling, “Megan! Megan!” at my wife during a few choice scenes that scared me too much. Was expecting this to be schlocky teenager horror, some jump scares and a bit of gore, but this was better than that. Does a whole allegory thing about trauma and passing your trauma on to others, but it’s pretty shallow in that undertaking. Still, better to…

  Better than I remember. All of the stuff on the desert planet was terrible, though. Except the very very end and big send off. That was nice. There’s some great character stuff with Picard. Not so much Data, but all the Picard stuff is nice.

  This is, very surprisingly, going on the list of “retired guys chopping wood and being asked to come out of retirement” movie list I’m compiling. 70/100
