This is one of my favourite movies, and definitely my favourite baseball movie. The real-life story, abet with some fictious additions is charming and endearing.
Like a poor production of Cats, the Athletics were able to put together a solid performance for a cheap price. I wish they would care about their team as much now....
The performance that Pitt and Hill deliver are believable well developed characters. I think Pratt does a sub par job, like a Rum Tum…
Jordan Peele continues to be an amazing director. The choices are all deliberate, and craft the story in perfect ways. Lupita Nyong'o performance is outstanding. Her acting, voice, and movement build the character(s) in a way no one else could have.
Much like in Cats the tethered rise up to the heavyside lair for a second chance on life. The deliberate choices within the film also mirror Cats with costuming, interactive props, and full commitment to characters.
Such a classic. A bit dated on the props, stunts and writing.
An example of this is the ROUS (Rodents of Unusual Size). Much like in the musical Cats it's incredibly obvious that this is just a man in an animal suit.
