I’d say it is more of an experimental art piece than horror but it does get extremely graphic by the end. A truly fascinating film with a mesmerizing vocal performance that continues consistently through the whole runtime set against macro photography and static shots. A descent into madness that makes sense. Fair warning there are some terrible things happening to insects and small animals but the film claims only 1 ant was hurt.

The Fear Footage 2018
Obviously a microbudget based on some of the digital effects but they didn’t distract too badly from an enjoyable watch. Got some real creepy moments, some decent performances, and several highly effective jump scares (got me). The framework of a cop’s body cam found with no cop and a mysterious tape with a v/h/s style assortment of horrors is well worn territory but finding it in a house that appears out of thin air is an interesting wrinkle.

Horror in the High Desert 3: Firewatch 2024
I like this series, the documentary format is done well and the end was very tense. Gotta love that they tease a sequel at the end of each of these.
