I experienced extreme discomfort and a sense of voyeurism while watching the interactions in the film. It felt almost perverse of me to sit here gawking at this family, but then I would snap back to the reality of just how immensely wrong the whole situation was. Natalie Portman nails her performance; There's a peculiar depth to her portrayal, leaving me feeling something was slightly off about her. Is there something sinister about her also? Or is she just a dedicated actor going uncomfortably deep into her character study?
