The premise ought to be really interesting, but I'm not impressed with how the story is told. More complicated than it should be, and with mixed up motivations and story beats.

The Outrun 2024
Rona (Saoirse Ronan) is battling alcoholism in a bad way. London is bad for her, but apparently, so is her home on the Orkney islands. Until she isolates herself on one of the most remote little islands. The time line is broken up and the first half of the film had so many flash backs and flash forwards that I don't really know if it has an actual present. In the middle of it all, Saoirse Ronan is outstanding, though, and while I may have lost my orientation, I never lost interest in her messy life. She's truly one of the greats.

Fremmed er et sørgeligt aktuelt stenalderdrama. Der er både spænding og action i historien der foregår for 6000 år siden og handler om et sammenstød mellem jægere og de første agerbrugere. Stammentalitet og angsten for det anderledes er temaer der var aktuelle dengang og nu. Symbolikken er måske smurt en anelse tykt på, men jeg var godt underholdt. Angela Bundalovic (Copenhagen Cowboy) er fremragende i hovedrollen.

Brilliantly combines [no spoiler] crying babies with a famous Danish serial killer and one of the finest psychological horror thrillers in Hollywood history. Eerie atmosphere and a couple of good scares, thanks to great use of darkness and effective music and sound effects.
