    Blurring the line between the real and the imaginary, this film allows us to ask, “what if?” It allows us to wonder and feel and hope, whether we are childish adults or adult-ish children. It reminds us that our imaginations should be just as much of our present as they were our childhood - and that, with imagination, there is the ability to endure. 

    Cinematically-satisfying, this film plays with imagery and symbolism in the ways I enjoy: light and dark, carnival colors and monotone shades, joy and sadness. 

    A better film on its second viewing.

    This movie captured my attention for the entire hour and 30 minutes. It didn’t drag out the real-life events, but rather, the events were prolonged by the suspense of the disaster… I found myself holding my breath as I watched the on-screen clock remind me that time is not on our side… and I waited for a miracle. 

    This was a hope-filled story about the value of human life… and the willingness of a crew of men to honor that…
