Ian McKellen is the definitive Iago. I've seen other versions that try to portray Iago as some disheveled villain, but it feels pretty clear to me that this is the best interpretation. He's calm and collected, always respectable and well put together. It's beneath the surface that all the malice and nefariousness lurks.
